Baywave

During Baywaves last major shutdown Bishops Speciality Coatings services were called upon to undertake repairs and maintenance on the main pool and surrounding concrete structures. Work was carried out on the main pool, plantrooms and the facility’s hydro slide, meeting time and budget. Bay Venues, who manage Tauranga City Councils aquatic and leisure facilities, have commissioned Bishop’s services at a number of the Council’s pools and are contractor of choice for this type of work.

BST

Bishops were engaged to carry out the civil works for the installation of three new 1100M3 chemical storage tanks at the Bulk Storage Terminal in Mount Maunganui. The work involved increasing the capacity of two existing containment bunds and construct the concrete foundations for the three tanks. The extra storage was required due to BST’s terminal in Auckland closing down to make way for the America’s Cup facility in the Viaduct Basin, capacity needed to shift to the BST’s Mount terminal to allow this to happen. The project was completed successfully in an extremely short timeframe while the terminal remained fully operational.

Ecolab

Bishop’s recently finished a major upgrade to Ecolab’s Hamilton facility. The project spanned eighteen months and involved every facet of the company’s expertise. The work involved the construction of several new containment bunds, storage tank foundations, a new loadout gantry, MCC buildings, site access and roading. On completion of the concrete works coatings and sealants were applied to the containment areas making them impervious and providing protection against chemical attack. The project was finished on time and added valuable storage space and state of the art operational areas with the old merging with the new.
